Serena Dykman is a filmmaker and alumna of the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts Film and Television program at NYU. Her body of work spans comedy, drama, and documentary, earning her more than 40 awards. Her notable films THE DOORMAN, BED BUGS & COMPANY, and WELCOME have been Official Selections in over 80 film festivals globally, featuring in esteemed venues like the Cannes Film Festival and various Oscar-qualifying festivals.
WELCOME which delves into U.S. immigration issues, has garnered a million views online and achieved a Webby Award.
Born in Paris and raised in Brussels, Réunion Island, London, and New York, Serena is a "third-culture kid."
Her deep-seated passion for travel and exploring cross-cultural themes profoundly influences her creative endeavors.
At the age of 23, Serena ventured into the documentary world with NANA, a poignant feature film that chronicles the life of her grandmother, Maryla Michalowski-Dyamant, an Auschwitz survivor and advocate for tolerance. The film has seen worldwide acclaim, featured in numerous film festivals, educational institutions, and commemorations, including on Holocaust Memorial Day 2018 by the European Commission and the European Jewish Congress. Distributed by First Run Features, NANA can be watched on Amazon and AppleTV. NANA was released theatrically.
In recognition of her trailblazing work, Serena was honored with the Women eNews "21 Leaders for the 21st Century" award, sharing the accolade with influential figures such as Abigail Disney and Amy Ferris.
